Myself and a couple friends went to London to visit the London central mosque near Marylebone Station, this was definitely a great experience: enlightening, spiritual and inspiring. Before arriving at the Mosque we walked around the regent park area. We stumbled upon Ask Italian and decided to make this our luncheon stop.
How would you describe Ask Italian?
All Italian restaurant, perfect for those who are looking for Italian cuisine for a decent price (per her £30 this includes drink). However, I do advise checking with your company before visiting if they do not want Italian this isn’t the restaurant for them.
Where has Ask Italian come from?
Ask Italian was established in 1993 since then has become part of the Gondola Holdings chain which owns – Pizza Express and Zizzi. Theo Randall becomes an investor after many years working with the brand as an expert friend. The brand has developed with the work od many expert friends a menu that provides an authentic Italian experience.
IT’S BEEN A REAL PLEASURE TO BE INVOLVED IN CREATING THESE SUPERB MENUS WITH THE TEAM AT ASK ITALIAN. I’M PROUD OF WHAT WE HAVE CREATED – ENJOY THEM. – THEO RANDALL
What’s their style?
The restaurant had been recently refurbished with a modern simplistic design using hot Mediterranean colour theme – green, purples and red. The floor plan is not too tight perfect for dining for two or group of 4. The food is arranged in such as way each plate looks mouth-wateringly appetising – portions are relatively large enough to share.
The restaurant has a halal incorporated menu which was perfect – also with an assorted menu with no gluten and vegetarian options. I was pleasantly surprised to have so many options – we dined off the main menu Ask Italian offers a pronto lunches menu from 12 – 5pm for those looking to grab a quick bite during work; as well as a separate Takeaway menu.
Ask Italian now has a pay quicker app – no more waiting like we did; pay for your meal at your table so you can pop off and get back to shopping, gallivanting or busy working day. click here for more info.

So where can we find their restaurant?
The restaurant brand as whole is fab. I personally feel that at that particular restaurant the customer service was not great as I didn’t appreciate their body language or personality, however, managerial staff was pleasant. Since then visited two of their restaurants in Kent and their staff were far more friendly and service was much quicker.

One fab thing:
Taking home more than a full belly.
Ask Italian offers mini recipes such as pistachio cake, that you can pick up from the table; simple dishes and desserts to try at home.
